As well as running a shop I am glad to have friends who are creatives that want to work with me. This week I did some modelling and this was one of the images taken by Andy White at Art Asylum Reloaded Studio. The theme of the shoot was inspired by the character of the Joker, who is a villain in the Batman franchise. Although I would hope that I am not actually perceived as a villain, I very much enjoyed the trip out to weymouth, the shoot with Andy and the cosplay element involved.
We dressed up (Caroline & I), as we love dressing up and attended the 1980's themed night at the Black Bear in Wool. It was lovely to be involved and we can highly recommend the pub for its friendly atmosphere and lovely staff.
After recently acquiring 2 large comic collections I have lots of comics to sell at this event. I shall also be selling die-cast and other bits and bobs. Please come along, as addmittance is free & it's bound to be ace!

As a special surprise Retrospection will be opening on 11/02/2024 (Sunday) to celebrate a WHOLE YEAR since opening. This will be an extra day to the usual weekly opening hours (Thursday - Saturday 10:00 - 16:00). There could be cake, and maybe even balloons.

My apologies for any inconsistency in my opening hours, being a one man band makes it difficult to open as much as I would like. For the duration of the winter this year I am intending to open generally on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays now.
I have a family event to attend running over 2 consecutive weekends, so on Friday 22/09/2023 & Friday 29/09/2023 I will be closed.
I'd like to thank everyone who paid a visit to my shop in its first half year, its been a really postive experience. I am confident that this shop will be a success.
My apoligies my opening has been fragmented recently, a mixture of health matters and other factors is the cause.
I was admitted to hospital this week, so I had to remain closed. I was out within 48 hours and am okay but I am intending to take it easy over the weekend.
I am considering changing my opening hours, in order to provide the best service I can whilst using time most effectivly.
Historically I have been busier on weekdays, than on weekends, which is one reason I am thinking of dropping weekends.
I'd be happy to recieve suggestions for new opening hours, whether that is the days or hours that I open. I hope to be open again very soon, watch this space.
Retrospection will be closed on Saturday the 17/06/2023 to attend and have a stand at the Wool Carnival. Please come and check out the stand and meet myself and my glorious assistant for the day Caroline.
The Retrospection leaflet above was created by Caroline Julia Moore at my request to promote the shop at the Wool Carnival. Caroline is a Digital Artist who teaches digital art techniques and creates wonderful works such as the one above. The inital image was created by Aritfical Intelligence then edited by Caroline to give it the awesome style you see here. It has influnces of Fritz Lang's Metropolisis and I think it really looks the part.

Retrospection is delighted to be involved in this year's Carnvial and is looking forward to more in the future.
I'd like to thank all the people who came to the shop to say hello or purchase items this last Easter weekend. It was a wonderful weekend and I enjoyed it immensely.
I will be opening as usual on Fridays and Saturdays throughout April 2023. I plan to open for the full weekend again on the first bank holiday in May 2023 (28/04/2023 - 01/04/2023).
The image shown here was kindly provided by the photographer Andy White. Thank you Andy for allowing me permission to use your fantastic images on my website and for your regular visits and support of my shop. You are a good friend.
I'd also like to thank Carline Julia Moore for her terrific images that I have used on my website. Many of my customers have met Caroline whose regular visits to the shop make my work even more enjoyable. Thank you, you continue to inspire and motivate me.
I'm going to continue to do what I have been doing, albeit with some changes to some of the stock. I will endeavour to stock more increasingly interesting things in the shop; some lines maybe reduced however in the coming weeks though as I discover what are my best sellers.
I'll continue to open on Fridays and Saturdays, with the addition of a full weekend on the next May Bank Holiday (2023). I do very much hope to increase my opening hours as a matter of routine when I can.
