The Retrospection Shop is located in Wool, in Dorset near the South Coast of England. There is a train connection that runs from London Waterloo to Weymouth & back again.
Love Dorset: Love Wool
The local Dorset area has so much to see in terms of scenery, lovely places to eat and plenty of shopping opportunities. Of course you may prefer to walk in the Purbeck hills, eat at one of the pubs in Wool, attend the market in Wareham or go west from Wool to the beach but afterwards a trip to the local shops wouldn't hurt and help supports the local economy. There is a thriving community in Wool and plenty of places to stay also.
The Shop Keeper: My Connection With Dorset
Although I did not grow up in Dorset, I visited frequently during my childhood, in my teenage years and early twenties. It was in my mid-twenties that I moved to Dorset permanently. Dorset has been good to me taking a relatively unsuccessful punk rocker and training me at college to do all manner of wonderful jobs. A strange twist of fate left me wondering what to do back in 2012 and in 2013 I began trading in second hand goods. It was an odd thing for me to end up doing when once I was trained to teach Animal Care. Though I took to it like a duck to water and I've made lots of friends along the way here in Dorset; I love what I do and meeting the people I do in my work. Of course I'll never be 100% Dorsetshire by nature, but the acceptance of me for what I am and what I have grown to become is a wonderful statement on how lovely the people of Dorset are.
